Hello Patrons!
First off, thank you for all the happy birthday wishes! It still blows my mind how sooo many people reach out every year. <3
Some of the Patreon supporters got together and gifted me half a dozen Warhammer boxes. They figured out (with some help from Lauranne) which minis I’d been eyeing and ended up getting pretty much my entire wish list. The first one I almost picked up last week, before my birthday, is Vizzik Skour. I’ll be starting on Vizzik Skour today. He’s a giant demonic rat, and painting him will likely take the whole month, maybe longer. I’ve finished planning the approach to painting him; now I just need to get started on building the miniature. I’ll be streaming all of this as well of course, starting today.
In the picture above with this post is my Leviathan Siege Dreadnought that I finished a few days ago. Very pleased with the results. Lots of new techniques on this one that I had not tried before.
The new StarCraft 2 balance patch testing is in full swing, and I’m expecting the patch to drop sometime this month. Alongside it, we’ll also get six new maps and, hopefully (fingers crossed!), a new pro scene season announcement. This month should be a good one for SC2! I will of course keep a close eye on all the developments and plan on casting StarCraft 2 daily.
I will also be casting SC2 at HomeStory Cup at the end of the month again. If you're going to Krefeld, definitely come and say hi! I couldn't go last time (first HSC I missed since ~2018) because of my ear operation, but everything is good this time around.
As for other games, I’m currently working on my Factorio Space Age playthrough, which will still take some time to complete. In addition, Battle Aces will finally be back on November 7th—one of the most promising RTS games, and I’m excited to jump back into it for a few hours each day. Lastly, I’m planning to return to Age of Mythology: Retold, as I still have DLCs to finish.
This month I've got a few sponsored streams lined up. As you probably know I decline the vast majority of sponsorship requests I get, but these are games I'm actually excited for to play.
Looking forward to another great month of content with you all!
Cheers,
Simon
