Call and Response: WOFF! Dispatch July 2025

Hewwo! The purpose of this post is to call for your questions and prompts for WOFF! Dispatch. Please respond by Tuesday, July 22 by leaving a comment on this post.

We're looking for two kinds of things:

  1. Suggestions for our long-form discussion prompt.

  2. Q&A about the shows, behind the scenes details, and miscellaneous (including off-the-wall and off-topic questions). Ask us about games or other media, life in general... You name it.

One caveat we've given in the past: If the question is too personal or gross, we may dance around it and not give a direct answer.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Just wanted to thank you both for posting the Jeremy archives to the feed. It was truly a tragic loss to the duck feed and podcasting communities. It was nice to go back and listen to the early Bonfiresidechat episodes especially the PVP ones that I hadn't listened to in years. Jeremy, like Giant Dad in Dark Souls PVP, the Legend Never Dies! Rest in peace.

FromSoft are innovators in many spaces, but something that often goes unremarked upon are their innovations in video game ass blasting. I know there's a cultural touch point in the kappa that might seem less surprising to a Japanese audience, but I'll never forget the feeling of going shoulder deep the wrong way in some sewer pork in Bloodborne. Not to mention the Headless in Sekiro and the LOATHESOME Dung Eater. My question is: what are some of the most notable "am I seeing what I think I'm seeing?" moments in games for y'all?
