2019-12-18 05:14:46 +0000 UTCA worthless fact that I can’t explain in Spanish, is that when you mention that there are foods you don’t like because they made you sick before is actually called the Garcia effect. Basically, when you eat food that makes you sick, your brain assumes it’s poison. When you trying to figure out which berry or mushroom is poisonous it’s helpful but not so much when your picking your taco. It is, in fact, one of the only things that has to happen to you only once for you to learn from. Another reason it’s interesting is because Garcia was a first generation Hispanic American. Totally worthless knowledge unless you want to know why you can’t eat a taco.
