Yes! The question that comes to mind first when seing her glitch is what could be the "trigger". But what does it do to her exactly is just as unknown for now.

Huh, that’s an interesting point you made. That could be how she’s glitching, her senses like her camera eyes and microphone ears got too sensitive at a “trigger” and she reacted strongly. 🤔

Poor Emmy. What Doc and the other robots said about their previous owners must've really struck a nerve with her?

That was a bucket of cold water for Emmy. It really had not crossed her mind until this moment, and we can see it. All these interactions are amazing. The way Emmy kept her composure but left with that expression... uff, too real.
Also, Darcy's expressions in the last page are so, so good.

Getting to know the characters through a dialog like this even if almost cut short here is my favorite part of any story. And this episode is no exception.
Also that narrow dripping sound panel reminded me of the one with the camera flashes back at the birthday party. Maybe it's just that Emmy perceives the world in a kind of hyper-sensitive overclocked fashion for a second just before glitching (making her aware of the faint dripping sounds and the camera flashes and cake candles appearing brighter) as the saturated colors and close ups suggest to me, at least. Or maybe there is something in common between those two details that I'm not seeing.

This is an interesting development and good showcase of the story’s overall thesis around sudden changes

Oh no 😅 now we need Emmy on a therapy couch with Doc pretending to care while drawing doodles on a notepad, or Darcy for comedy reasons.

I agree, seems like her malfuctions (because of a buggy update for what it seems so far) are triggered because of stress and pressure situations.
Emmy has anxiety 💀

Welcome back to a new reality Emmy, tike for Darcy to solve Sterling's malfunctioning problem for them. I'm amazed Emmy was able to function normally for as long as she did, but maybe the malfunctions are stress related?

Smart of them to have spare TVs on standby. But man, this really sounds like the first time Emmy has seriously considered the possibility that she may be replaced...💔
