Hey fam,
Hope you're all doing well!
Almost exactly 9 years ago, I finished my track called 'Enceladus'. Sometimes it's hard to measure 'success' in art, but if we are talking about Beatport charts, streaming numbers, DJ support, crowd reactions, or feedback from fans, this track is definitely above anything I've done to date.
Kaskade did a mashup of Enceladus and his own 'Move For Me' track, which he played at his biggest main stages from Ultra to EDC. But this year, he got the chance to perform at the Super Bowl final, where he started his set with this exact mashup. It's pretty rare these days that a track has such an afterlife 9 years after the release. You can never know.
I found the very first version of the track I sent to Anjunabeats as a demo. It's mostly the same, but has a very different drop. Got feedback from my A&R back in the day that it's an awesome track, but the drop could be just more powerful.
And to me, it's very interesting to listen to this very first version now. Makes me think, would 'Enceladus' have been this successful in its original form? So here it is, I decided to share the very original version of 'Enceladus' with you.
Hope you find this interesting and special too!
Sunny
