Upcoming Tutorial series: The Woodsman

Hello Cultists!

This week I am editing up for you the first video in a new series. This will feature our very own Cult of Paint miniature. I am very happy with the results so far and looking forward to sharing the tutorials, with a heavy focus on basing. We will start this weekend with the basing construction, as shown in the photo. Some of you may have seen on Instagram I am a little further along than this, with the painted already started. It has taken me around a month for the base alone so just trying to stay ahead! In this series I intend to break the videos down into the following:

1. Base creation

2. Painting a backdrop of a dark forest

3. Painting a forest environment

4. Water effects including blood in water (which I haven’t seen done before on a miniature)

5. Painting the Woodsman in 1-3 parts. Covering strong light sources, with a heavy focus on skin.

I hope you will enjoy it and I am sure there will be some fun new things to try. It’s been a huge experiment for me and I have done a lot of things for the first time. Any comments drop below!
