Farseer Part 2: CombiningTMM Gold & OSL

Hello all!

Really enjoyed making this one. Very experimental but I lucked out and it worked! Which is lucky as it wouldn't be a great video otherwise.......

Looking forward to your thoughts on this one. I'll create the full colour list for the mini soon, as it will be finished. Very few paints in this one as its just the gold elements.

Scale 75 Elven Gold

Monument Pro Acryl Light Bronze ( you can get away with a smooth silver, I don't recommend GW as the flake is big and horrible).

GW Rhinox Hide

AK Blue Green

AK Ivory

Hello Andy, great video! I didn't notice in the photos that mate paint! I would like to ask about brushes and metallic paints: do you keep a "less quality" brush only to work with this paints or are you using the same brush for the metallics and the rest of the figure? do you use a different water pot, in order to keep the metallic flakes away from other brushes you may use in the same painting session? Thank you, Robert

Great stuff Andy! Similar approach to the one I’m currently using for metallics (though I haven’t tried the OSL effects yet so this is very inspiring!) Genuinely thought you’d used the emerald metallic from scale for the greener tones and couldn’t tell the final highlight was matt before watching! The scale metallics are great for blending with matt paints though I find - I think it’s the finer pigment and smoother nature. Can’t wait to see how you tackled the purple cloak as I love that transition from cool to warm that you get with this colour! Cheers, Andrew
