Eltharion Part 3

Hi Cultists!

So the final part of Eltharion. Lots of little bits in this one, but I hope you enjoy it. I was really happy with how the base made the miniature look. It made me really excited for doing the army.

I will be making a video on how I will paint the rank and files troops. This will be a free one on Youtube. You guys get the much longer videos and see my creative process. Would you like to see any more Lumineth? I will be painting an entire army but not repeating anything we have had tutorials here already. But maybe you would enjoy me seeing the big cow or future releases?

Drop your comments in, I love hearing from you guys.

Paint list for this Video!

Hat feathers

Scale 75 Cantabric Blue

Scale 75 Bering Blue

Vallejo Orchid Light or GW Dechala Lilac

Gems

Scale 75 Sunset Purple

Vallejo Orchid Light or GW Dechala Lilac

Vallejo Highlight Skin or AK light Flesh

Silver

Scale 75 Black Metal

Pro Acryl Silver

Blue Glow

AK Archaic Turquoise

Ivory

Leather

GW Rhinox Hide

Scale 75 Dubai Brown

Base

For the Base I used Scale 75 Gobi Brown and Birch. This worked great in the end, but the difference between them is so large it needed too many mixes. I would recommend:

Steel Legion Drab Base

Wash/Shade Gobi Brown

Highlight Karak Stone

Highlight Birch or some Light Flesh for that Uniform Light.

Ill try this method when I do the next mini with this stone!

Grass is from here:

Hope you enjoy,

Outstanding looking model Andy - can really see why you’re excited about the army. One question: Vince Venturella always says that tufts, like everything else on the model, should be painted (he tends to advocate washing and dry brushing them). Curious to know what your thoughts are about that? Cheers.

LMAO @ "moist caress." That seriously made my day. Fantastic tutorial as usual! It's really cool to get to see how other brands of paint handle with metallics. I've been curious about Pro Acryl for a bit but they're hard to find where I'm at, so I've not tried them yet. Thanks very much for the tutorial!
