Intro to Airbrushing Pt.2

Hi everyone,

Here's the second part of the airbrushing miniseries. Should come in handy as I've got a few tutorials for you this weekend that heavily feature them!

Different ratios yes. Different mixes, not so much. In the UK we are generally working in pretty pleasant conditions for painting, but other climates are going to require some adaptation. When I've taught in Australia and Texas we found that we needed to use lower pressure, thinner paint and sometimes drying retarder. Very occasionally I'll add a drop of flow improver if a paint is beading on the surface a lot. If your Scale paint is very translucent when you airbrush it then consider using a less dilute mix. I use it much less frequently than other paints with my airbrush, excepting the metals.

Amazing video, thanks Henry. I will be getting some tamiya

Do you find yourself using different thinner mixes for different paints (aside from the solvent based ones of course), ie adding flow-aid, retarder or medium to some colors or lines? Also, any tips on base coloring with Scale75 as it always goes super transparent or is it just a matter of wrong tool for the job?
