Hey guys! Happy Friday!
This week I decided to share a track I started before the days of the pandemic, when I used to travel the city looking through thrift shops and used record bins for potential samples. Sadly, I haven't been able to do anything along those lines since about February or so, due to the current situation. However, now that I'm stuck at home, I've had the opportunity to look through my previous thrift store finds and make something out of them! Here's the result: a track made nearly entirely of tracks ripped straight from thrift store vinyl.
I remember originally choosing the sounds on these records thinking they could make for a nice sequel to Komoroko, but I ended up finding some really groovy sounds and decided to make a beat inspired by one of my favorite French House tunes:
DJ Falcon - Unplugged

The guitar I managed to rip really gave me some unplugged vibes, so I went in that direction, with some extra samples thrown in Komoroko-style.
Hope you guys enjoy the track!
I'll be posting a new mix soon too, so keep an eye out for that!
Stay safe and take care everybody. - M
