Update 8/5/20 + Art!

Hey guys!

I figured I should share this awesome artwork by my friend, zSloth in this update. As you saw with my last post, I'm considering making it the album art for my latest project. But as I mentioned before, it's all a work in progress and things are subject to change. However, even if I do end up having to change it, I love this drawing and I do want to use it one way or another.

Moving onto the update portion of things, I think I'm finally done with the new project! In my last update, I said I was planning a mini-album, but as I worked on it more and more, I started cutting down the tracks I felt were filler / dated and only going with the tracks that I felt were my strongest. So the final tracklist should have 6 songs (EP length), and be about 20 minutes or so. This will include one remix that will be done by a good friend of mine (and it will be a banger, I guarantee it!)

I should also mention that I came up with a title for the project: Now That I Have You. I took the name from a song on a french house album I liked (Midnight Funk by Demon). I feel like it fits the picture and the mood of the EP pretty well. I also feel like the title and the picture is a cute reference to how I feel about my boyfriend, but the less said about that the better. ha ha.

As for the personal side of things, I was feeling a bit bummed out last week because I felt like I wasn't going anywhere with this project, but now that I'm getting something good going I'm feeling a lot more confident. However, physically, I'm not doing so great. I've been feeling a little under the weather recently, and getting work done has been a little difficult. Hopefully it's nothing serious, I really doubt it is. But hey, now that I got the EP done at least I can put the energy I do have into making cool new stuff for you guys!

Anyway, that's how things are going this week, so far. I'm excited to put this EP out! (Hopefully on cassettes, too!)
