Soldissimo

Here's another track from the early days of Sample Heaven! Back then I wanted this to be the title track for the album, which at the time was called "Soldissimo." I decided to change it to Sample Heaven since Soldissimo was the name of an Etienne De Crécy song I really enjoyed and I didn't want to deal with copyright issues or anything like that. Still, I think it's a really pretty name and I hope to still use it in the future.
At the time of creating this song, my idea for this album was to purely sample modern J-Pop bands for the entirety of it, like stuff from after the 2010s. This track is made up of multiple samples of that nature. However, I ended up scrapping that idea because some of the collaborations I was doing at the time didn't really fit the theme, but I still wanted them on the album! (Draw the Line, Since I Left You, and Far Gone for example.) A lot of the tracks on the album still do fit this theme though. Life Goes On, Sample Heaven, Our Melody and Heart Rhythm all feature some newer J-Pop samples in there! Maybe one day I'll revisit that idea and make something cool with it.
