Benz (Scrapped Sample Heaven Track!)
Added 2020-05-08 16:48:57 +0000 UTCAlright. I've been getting some questions about this track for a while, and I think it's finally time to let everyone know the deal!
So, as some of you may have noticed, Sample Heaven released with a bonus track on the tapes called "Benz (Doktor Plekter Remix." I recently played it in my Business Casual live show too. It's seriously a banger and I'm glad to have it included! Here's the remix if you want a refresher:

Anyway, I know it's a bit weird to have a remix when the original track is nowhere to be found! But I actually did this for a few reasons. Sample Heaven started off as an EP for Coraspect, to be pressed onto a 10" vinyl record. "Benz " and the remix were to both be included in the tracklist, but plans changed after I decided to make Sample Heaven a full LP instead.
As I worked more and more on the LP, I realized just how much the original Benz stood out. Here I have an LP full of pop songs and then one track that's straight up metal, and in a 5/4 time signature too! However, Doktor Plekter's remix fit the tracklist like a glove, so I decided to keep it!
Hope that answers a few questions! Benz was a fun experiment when I was still trying to find the sound for my next album. Not sure if I'll ever release it to the public, but I'm happy having it up here! Enjoy, and stay safe guys. - m
