Yeah I pretty much always go for a black primer, as my reference photos / light reflection photos gets better with a black satin finish. If there is a lot of white or light grey areas on a model, I would go for a grey primer though. I never do zenithal highlights, ive actually never really tried it before :)

There is always something very cool when seeing a partially painted model with a black base coat. This is obviously a large model being a bust, but do you always use black no matter the size of the model? I struggle to see the details on normal or small models, so have to add some grey and white zenithal highlights. Do you do this at all, especially to make lighter colours pop?
