SOO many amazing stand outs and memorable dancers from the first episode! i'M obsesseddd with Team USA NATURALLY!! Marlee's energy feels like a warm hug and they're all just so relatable and it's refreshing seeing more black people in this arena.
Aliya Janell is such a FUN guest judge and yes JYP and Mike say great things too imo. The battles were fun but does anyone else feel like they're never as good as the underground clips you see of the dancers? Perhaps it's nerves I guess.
Something i'm super interested to see is so many former leaders back in a team member role. How will that show in future missions?
I LOATHE how bloated Mnet makes this shit. It could absolutely be an hour and a half but instead they do all these repeats and extra commentry.

I knew I needed to see your reactions too 😆 I know it’s only episode 1, but Kyoka’s got me in a chokehold 😂. She’s got strong presence damn. I’ve always loved RF(old & new gen), especially Kaea so this was a treat! So happy they appeared on the show. Also a big factor why I decided to watch the show actually. Can’t wait for your next reaction ❤️

2025-06-11 19:17:31 +0000 UTCi'm sure someone must have mentioned this on one of the swf videos but the battle section of this show is so ridiculous. firstly, no hate to any of the judges because individually they are a good choice, but why is the special judge for the battle round a choreographer. the entire panel is biased because all three of them specialized in choreo. like don't call it a battle if you're not going to judge based on the standards of an actual battle competition. of course performance/crowd work is considered a part of battling, but in the instances like kyoka vs. rie, kyoka showed us variation throughout her round, but rie was getting repetitive with some of her movements (like her footwork). secondly, why are they dancing to different songs? you can tell from when ibuki and lip j were battling, lip j instinctively started dancing to ibuki's song as soon as it was her turn and then had to stop herself because they need to play a different song for each person. also, it's so annoying that these dancers have to dance to the same song when its a tie because again, that would never happen in a real battle. this way we wouldn't have the problem of struggling to watch both dancers at the same time (for example danica vs. gabee). the only reason i'm still watching this show is because there are a handful of dancers i love on it. i also saw a few others saying this in the comments here, but if you want to see the uncut battles they're all on youtube. thanks for checking this out even with all the bs mnet editing lol
