This era was definitely made for me! As I say in the reaction, it's clear to me performance is innately his priority and it shows in his approach to his songs and I'm sure some of the songs that feel flat to listen to melodically will absolutely come alive once he does choreo to them.
I HOPE he does a concert of some sort so we get to see his vision for all his music. I also love that he's found the sweet spot in his voice cos personally, I've never joined his belting tone, it kinda reminds me of Keeho in terms of tongue tension or placement? I dunno how to describe it but yeah.

I couldn’t figure out what it reminded me of but it felt so special and nostalgic and Welcome to the dollhouse remains to be one of my top 10 albums of my life lol Chris brown is somewhere shaking he didn’t release stunner lol

2025-03-31 02:38:53 +0000 UTCstunner is easily one of my favorite tracks of the year so far and i won't be surprised if it makes my top 5 EOY list. it was giving me 20/20 experience JT vibes! such a great song and perfect for ten. he's absolutely in his bag. i've liked a few of his releases, esp. dangerous off the last album, but this is his best yet. such a star! he's also been singing it live on radio shows/stages, which wasn't typically a part of his promo before and he sounds good. i rly am such a ten stan i need him to be the most famous idol in the world deadass.

2025-03-31 02:35:33 +0000 UTCStunner was actually supposed to be a b-side and another song was going to be the title track, but ten pushed for stunner and I'm glad he did. I liked nightwalker a lot and I generally like when he leans more androgynous, but I understand why the song might not have been to your liking. He also talked about the song selection process and some of the songs definitely were chosen for their performance potential, which I see as a positive and negative. His biggest strength as an artist is performance so I understand why he did that, but I do hope he finds a better balance for his next project. I think that's why Stunner really shines for me because it does good job of balancing being an interesting sounding song but also one that is elevated by the performance. Butterfly also pleasantly surprised because I dont usually think Ten's voice when I think about ballads, but he sounded very good and hopefully that will also translate for live performances. Overall a very solid album and I hope he continues to improve from project to project.

The choreo was just wow!!! Old girl caught me eye too, she was matching Ten through out the who dance. Girl was really vibing and eating at the same time!!! Bambola: the outfits were eating, especially the all black. I just love the vibe in this MV. And yess Micah i agree this feels like we're truly seeing who Ten is in this album and I'm loving it!!!!

2025-03-30 14:14:00 +0000 UTCI'm so glad you enjoyed this- I was patiently waiting for the day a ten release would click with you, I knew it was only a matter of time- he's very versatile and it definitely feels like in his debut he was just starting on his journey on finding himself as an artist so I feel like the time will come when he has something for everyone! I knew STUNNER was stellar so I can't imagine anyone not liking it -- and then Butterfly is such a treat melodically I thought there was a big chance you'd like it too. I feel the same way you do about Waves, might be the least interesting Ten ever, *for me*. I get "easy-listening" but I still feel like a song needs to take you on some sort of journey, or have some sort of hook or unique section. But other people like it best on the album, so I'm not mad at it- like I said, something for everyone! I know what you mean about him being performance focussed- I didn't "get" Bambola and thought it simply wasn't for me until I saw it on stage and the way he embodied the music and the character in his body was so fun to see and now I find myself listening to and moving to the song myself. Like someone else said he's touring with this album for a few dates (seoul, bangkok shanghai) and then he's coming out with a japanese release which he's doing a few dates for in Japan-- I absolutely can't wait for stage performances of the songs to get the full picture of his artistic vision for the album!
