Honestly if this was my discovery of Jooyeon I wouldn't have been moved at all.
I'm glad I watched the Immortal Songs performance right after because you can IMMEDIATELY hear the difference and remembered why I love him so much cos i was starting to wonder if i'd gaslight myself into loving him?? lool. The Depth, power and richness is so PRESENT in his voice yet was completely suppressed on masked singer.
I just hope the audience got a better experience! He ended each performance beautifully though but I don't think these did much for him.

The program seems to do something to the mic or maybe editing done, so everyone sings very “sweet” and clean and I much prefer jooyeon’s huskier and powerful voice. But also I think the song choice too, which is not their usual style. Jooyeon is very good at manipulating his voice to fit certain singing style, which is why I love his voice so much as he can go from soft to powerful to husky and growls. I have no doubt he will improve further. Looking forward to what he can do.

2025-03-12 10:05:54 +0000 UTCI guess we'll see if it helps with their upcoming comeback. But he did perform in front of senior Korean performers and got Yoon Dohyun to give clues about who he was. He also made history by making it to the finals to go against the current king. He's been doing many variety shows to represent Xdianary Heroes for public recognition lately. :)
