&Team Failed Variety reaction & Big Suki Fancam
Added 2025-02-21 09:38:30 +0000 UTCIt's soooooo hard to find variety that clicks and is enjoyable these days. No one comes close to RUN BTS or Going Seventeen. The industry doesn't bother to do things that are produced in a way that's REAAALLY entertaining.
It's probably fine to watch off camera, but to react? Nah. And no I don't specifically mean this one which I knew was supposed to be more straight forward and chill, but even the others concepts, they're not as stimulating and I think newer gen groups also don't have the MC persona's in the way 3rd and previous gen groups did which helps engage the audience more.
And if they do, they're not as in your face charismatic, instead it's more like watching them just play about which like I said is great OFF camera but not necessarily, on. I think the training for idols when it comes to variety is not really a priority now especially cos a lot of variety shows of old are gone.
Anyway this doesn't affect how I feel about them at all cos this is a problem not unique to them, it's just a shame! BIG SUKI ATE THOUGH OMG.

Absolutely not. It's nothing to do with them and I still love their music and choreo. Variety shows are different, doesn't really impact how i feel about groups cos it's a bonus.

2025-02-21 19:11:03 +0000 UTCif u want really fun variety content to watch then suju is the way to go, they r THEEEE og variety idols! they had this show called SuperTV that was so mf funny, season 1 was just them doing different things and season 2 was like a competition show where their rivals were other idol groups, shinee red velvet kard lovelyz etc came out on it, if not on camera i defo recommend watching it off camera

2025-02-21 18:51:18 +0000 UTCi think they’re far more comfortable doing japanese focused content than korean centric content, but i do think they’ve improved over the past year. they do a lot of japanese tv appearances but they’re so hard to find with good quality & translations lol. but as you mentioned, the run bts/gose vibe is missing from many newer groups content. a new group who captures this energy well is boynextdoor and they benefit greatly from having very extroverted members and a production team who actually know what’s interesting to watch as a viewer. their content has actually done wonders for their career and exposure in these past few months so i wonder if companies will get back into making efforts for variety content for their groups cause i feel like everyone is getting lazy loll.

I'm super introverted so I vibe with less bold personalities you find in many groups, like Riize, but I do miss the third gen energy. I feel Zerobaseone is one of the exceptions in that regards!
