Their vocals have GROWN so fucking much hello?!?! Though they do work WAAY too hard, it's clear it's benefited their vocals. They supported the voices and sing with such conviction and clarity it's great.
Jungwon, Jake and Jay are a dangerous trio. Different tones but their voices have developed beautifully.
Looking forward to watching more of these and their new albums this year!

It almost sounds like he’s running out of breath midway through the phrases or that he’s releasing too much in the beginning and then just tries to push through it. It seems like they prefer he sing in that breathy tone, but they really need to work on his breath control. Other than that, I love his tone. I love the texture of his voice. The standout for me was Sunghoon. He tends to blend into the background during performances (at least for me) but his voice was really reliable in each recording. For some reason, I wasn’t expecting that.

2025-01-14 12:10:27 +0000 UTCthe thing you mentioned in 10:40 was also mentioned in a boys planet episode reaction :) It always fascinates me how their voices have grown since we got to watch them grow up and their voices develop more from island/debut to now. Especially Niki, being so young we got to watch his voice go through puberty. I remember him getting only a few lines during debut but as his voice matured and settled you see his voice get utilised better to highlight his deep voice. At least i think so LOL. ( i cant even say that he gets more lines cause its so hard to tell with the songs being evidently shorter than early eras.. PLEASE BRING BACK 4min songs with LONG bridges) ALSO I AGREE. Like its obvious that these boys are improving cause they work so hard, but their schedules seem so packed I need them to catch a break.

2025-01-13 22:38:20 +0000 UTCOh I disagree! I feel like if it's hanging they'll be a tendency to look up to meet the mic and that can add tension and make you want to "reach" and look up for the notes. The mic being lower than you and infront of you is much better for the psychology I think.

2025-01-13 22:23:00 +0000 UTCMy pet peeve is I hate where the recording mic is placed in comparison to other companies, it would be more helpful in opening their throats when singing if the recording mic was hanging from the ceiling. Like even in Woozi’s personal studio where seventeen records he has mic hanging from above.
