Changsub 1st Album

OKAY so we all know how much I love this mans voice BUT I want to make a quick comparison to enhance my point which in the video I wasn't aware of cos I hadn't reacted to Irene yet but it fits.
Although Irene is nowhere near the vocalist Changsub is, I got a CLEAR idea of her identity in her album and this has nothing to do with her doing a genre I also love cos there's many artists I enjoy and follow who have strong identities even if I don't love their music. D.O's most recent album, earlier BILLLIE albums, XIKERS' new album, Xdinary Heroes etc.
But with Changsub I feel like he doesn't have a solid identity musically yet besides having a magnificent voice. I think doing a full album is definitely great for melody's who've wanted an album from him and it's a way for him to see what works for him in the long run and i'm hoping he carries on with more and more albums until it all clicks together which i'm sure it will.

Changsub couldn't sing last year because his voice condition was not very good 🥲 So he said his solo plan was delayed, he couldn't participate in BTOB's activities, and he couldn't make the desired sound, so it was a hard time. He said that he was able to recover from the treatment and that he only filled this album with the songs he wanted to sing or the songs he liked. Fortunately, he was cured at the concert in December, so he said he would show himself as a singer more this year! And as promised, three songs have already been released. lol I'm so happy

2024-12-20 12:39:07 +0000 UTC"retail music" hit it right on the head lmfao. look i love changsub DOWN but on first listen i really couldnt get into this album at all and i couldnt figure out why. like his singing felt off and the tune just was not hitting, it all just felt really... old? idk (but thats my man so i sat through a few more listens and now i love it lmfaoo) and i know im meant to love the group as it is, but i WILL keep bothering them on twitter and the rest of those apps about making an rnb album, having those voices and still making radio music should be illegal idk

His previous EP album 'Mark' focusing more on rock ballad. I think this album is good for a concert because after watching his solo concert, it just came out perfect with Chivalry as the grand opening and the encore with #Run. So you won't get a dull or bland performances for 2 hours concert.

2024-11-30 22:45:25 +0000 UTCI'm a big BtoB fan but even I felt like this album was kinda everywhere at first. Given time I was able to enjoy the songs (not all). Maybe someone like Hyunsik is more to your liking because he has a clear direction where he wants his music to be. He has 2 mini albums already. The first one Rendezvous is space themed and the second one The Young Man and the Deep Sea is ocean themed. Music wise I really don't know if its to your liking but I personally really liked it. I think Hyunsik has the best solo music out of all of them but that's just me tho. I do hope you react to it someday. P.s Dear Love by Hyunsik is one of the best to ever come out of BtoB imo
