I could see them growing in the same way aespa and ITZY have.
OMFG as i'm typing this I just remembered that teddy is producing them HENCE why I picked up the strong YG energy. Once again my ears do not fail me.
At least their choreo is great. I need their songs to match their energy for them to perform in ways that's authentic to them. It's such a subtle difference but once they have it, you'll know. Just like how aespa found it in drama onwards.

2025-02-13 21:58:38 +0000 UTCThis was the first survival show I ever watched so maybe I had a poor eye for potential talent at the time, but I hadn’t even memorized koko’s name by the end of the first half. But once the 2nd half started she’s been on this upward trajectory, where the 2nd half of the show it seemed most of the narrative surrounding the performances were just all eyes on her, and that trajectory just seems to keep on going with the debut. At the moment it seems like the sky’s the limit for her on stage. And yeah the dance seems to be the real standout so far for the group. The choreo team seems to have a great eye for fluidity, especially on the 2 newer releases, and that was my favourite part. I hope they keep this as sort of their ‘signature’ style.

So when they released the teaser of 'izna' I was soooo upset. I love the beginning of the song but that chorus... my god. Are we serious? I keep listening to it hoping I can gaslight myself into liking it but it's so dry and empty. Every single one of these girls can sing, too, but we don't get to see their unique vocal tones reflected or the powerhouse vocals of Jungeun & Jiyoon especially. SIGH. Timebomb I like a lot, but it needs to be a minute longer. If that was the title track I think everyone would be happier tbh. Hoping their comeback is quick and will showcase more of what my nieces here are capable of!

If you read more than just a few lines you would see i clearly said that i was upset that a group with a ton of potential was going to get dragged down by crap like this. I felt the music was incredibly basic and boring (yes the choreo was good but thats it) and when coupled with other less than ideal issues being brought up it puts a brand new rookie group at an incredible disadvantage. Let's be honest after the Illit and Newjeans crap from the past year it would be nice if companies just worked harder to avoid issues. You do you though.

It's for reference size, they didn't print the cards or anything like that, it's a lazy job of design, that's it. Why are you bringing it in a reaction that has nothing to do with this, it's not even the company fault the aespa templates.

2024-11-28 01:18:46 +0000 UTCwatched them from the very beginning of i-land 2 so it's so heartwarming seeing them FINALLY performing on stage 😭 yeah, lots of nayas (izna's fandom name) hate teddy's producing so a lot of the songs that are fan favourites (fake it, iwaly etc) are produced by vvn. so hopefully we see more songs produced by vvn!! but from watching them on i-land 2 they were powerhouse performers, saebi (in the pink at kcon, very wonyoung like), koko (rapper with bangs) and jungeun (usually does high notes, was in the white/silver trousers at kcon) specifically are just magnetic. so excited to see them grow and evolve!

2024-11-27 23:35:15 +0000 UTCI can't say i'm shocked by some of the laziness... this is the group that copied Aespa's photocards and stuff almost identically and just days after the newjeans album design ripoff. not blaming the idols obviously, but the company needs to get its head out of it's ass. if anything i'm just angry at the wasted potential and the hardships they are going to endure before they even get a real chance. Also, Koko looks exactly like ZB1s Han Yujin, especially the eyes and mouth. I’m so happy you reacted to IZNA that my sadness about you not watching Iland 2 has been erased. Thanks ❤️❤️ Ps. I really do hope the music catches up a bit though because they have so much potential - I can totally see them having an absolute breakout song in the future!

I had been so excited for this debut, it feels like I-Land 2 was so long ago but their synchonisation shows that they've been working really hard in the build up. I got to see them at KCON too which was incredible!

I really think that these girls could shine and be great, but I worry because Teddy is their producer. Saebi was the one in pink and she almost did not make the group. At the finale the producers decided to pick a 7th member at the very end, when it was only supposed to be 6 members. I am so glad that they made it 7 and that she got picked. She is the youngest and I think she has so much potential.

I don’t like the chorus, but I don’t hate it enough that it makes me dislike the song, because I really enjoy the other parts. IWALY has grown on me sooo much since the survival show, I really like it now. I do wish they’d given them more new songs though rather than most of the EP being songs from the show 🙄 Koko is a star in the making for sure! Not surprised she stood out to you. I really see it for Saebi too, who you also pointed out as the girl in the pink. Glad you didn’t hate it and looking forward to what they put out in future 💪🏻

These groups have way too much star quality and potential to get these lackluster title tracks. HOWEVER, I think teddy is producing a lot more than he's used to between Izna, Meovv, and Somi, so hopefully we get something different... out of any of them LMAO. I just NEED to see him try something different with song structure its sooooo predictable.
