Thank god YG is starting to make a lane for them, this feels way more exciting. The bsides need a LOT of work, it baffles me that a company as BIG as YG doesn't HEAR how low effort/quality their music can sound at times. I feel like they're using OLD demos for the most part and don't want to invest too much in new music and pay new exciting talent to stay innovative.
Compare this quality to their peers, newjeans, IVE, aespa or ITZY and it's night and day but maybe this will happen gradually, we're already at a good start with the two MV's.
I can't even lie, I wish they were an SM group simply for their vocals that I fear will be underutilised as well as their dance skills but there may be hope.

But then their music has just been okay, nothing groundbreaking or unique to them. They feel like YG is trying too hard to stick to the YG formula instead of helping BabyMonster create a new identity and do something exciting. These girls are so talented but I need YG to push the boundaries with them instead of trying to replicate their successful past.

2024-11-12 21:50:26 +0000 UTCYG the company is being weirddddd with Treasure and Babymonster its like they’re stuck in time!!!! Like they so young they should be breaking the mold or whatever!! The thing is to me a YG family stan the music has always been high quality, for example winner and ikon , their discography is amazinggg!! Akmu there is no competition with them! BB and 2NE1. All their groups were unique and had their own flavor. I just don’t understand what’s happening with Babymonster and treasure, they are soooo talented its crazy its fresh but there is no creativity, no innovation!!! XG in my head is a YG group they define what a YG group for me is : Groundbreaking , unusual, different, unique, TALENT ABOVE ALL. The new management for BM and Treasure has to leave!
