One thing I noticed about this album when I first listened to it was the how much more breathy he sounded compared to his earlier projects. Given that this was his first project after the military, I was worried that he might have had a slight change in his technique due to not being able to practice as much. Clearly after listening to the recording, they were choices made intentionally and it just showcases how good of a vocalist he is, being able to manipulate his voice to emulate a sound he desires for his songs.
