For someone that trained for 10 years, I'm really surprised at her lack of basic foundation in breathing technique and phrasing. Perhaps she spent more of that time focused on dancing which she excels at.
I'd love for her to get her breathing down, it'll definitely unlock parts of her delivery that'll benefit her immensely.
Great song choices though!

Hmm, I disagree with this, and she hasn't been with JYPE in ten or nine years. It seems weird to bring them up, to be honest.

2024-10-17 22:50:21 +0000 UTCit makes sense to be honest, she's from jype originally where their vocal training isnt too intense and focused (which a lot of their artists desperately need tbh lol). I hope whoever trains kiss of life vocally can address that issue.

2024-10-13 11:36:32 +0000 UTCWhenever she takes a breathe, you see her neck tense, shoulders and chest raise up. My diagnosis is that there's a complete lack of diaphragmatic breathing. If she isn't using her diaphragm to pull in air: 1. Her breaths become more shallow, so less air comes in every breath 2. Less overall air capacity It also leaves me to believe that she doesn't have the proper diaphragm control to control her airflow and how much air is expended. Her singing style of not closing her vocal chords also exacerbates the problem since she also loses air that way too. Overall, the biggest problem is the complete lack of diaphragm. Even if you were singing in a overly breathy style, a fully contracted diaphragm allows you enough lung capacity to sing at least 1 extended phrase quite comfortably.
