iKON 2018 Concert

I LOVE how effortlessly they have a blend of feminine and masculine energy. They're not overly boisterous. They take things seriously depending on what vibe they're aiming for.
Bobby's energy on stage is infectious and their chemistry as a whole works so well with the right balance of strong vocals with the rap. Everyone also looks comfortable on stage and comes across authentic. I also love that when necessary they pull out the synchronised choreo that other kpop groups do but for the most part they vibe and EMBODY the songs they're performing, a lost art with most idol groups especially recently.
YG is hands down the best company for live performers, by a mile, although JYP would be on par if their idol groups had stronger vocal focus overall. They mastered the art of stage presence and LIVE vocals at least 95% of the show and I never thought I'd say that. Of the YG groups I've reacted to, their discography is probably my favourite also in terms of variety.
B.I man, the man that are you are. I wish things didn't happen that way but it's fine we still have one more concert with him which I will probably watch at some point.

I was so excited for 2019 after a very successful 2018. hanbin hinted at a solo, a possible double b album, and group music like we were just getting started after finally getting out the basement. now I will go cry like I miss them waaaaay too much.

They have amazing b-sides and I wished you could've heard more of it from the concert. For a group from yg, they honestly have such a beautiful soft signature sound that worked so well for the group. With B.I being their main producer and songwriter besides Bobby, obviously it never was the same after he left. I still keep up with Ikon's music though and while it's a slight shift from what they used to make, I can enjoy their newer style too. If you have time to check out some of their catalogue on your own time, I'm sure you'll find more songs you'll like. I personally love their songs "jerk" and "don't forget" which might not be your bag. But there is such a solemn and nostalgic vibe to their sound that I loved from them.
