I wish the slow song was replaced by a mid tempo deep house type pop song tbh but it's not an AWFUL choice, just breaks the flow a bit for me!

2024-09-05 01:30:18 +0000 UTCi feel like i would've liked this song more if i watched the mv with it instead of listening to only the audio LOL bc conceptually they devoured !! like bc i only listened to the audio, i wish the last chorus did something similar to von dutch by charli xcx. also fr i'm so glad you brought it up how ppl kept saying criticism was "hate" bc they improved sm like the stages have brought back sm excitement for me to get back into them as the past few releases haven't been up my alley. imo 'crazier' would've ATE if they saved it for a chaewon solo; her tone on that song slayed ! or if they added an extra song or two so the jump between 1800 and crazier wasn't as jarring.

2024-09-04 18:25:19 +0000 UTCwow i think this is the first time, we dont agree! this album really wasnt for me which is a shame because i was so excited for itt! the biggest faux pas for me was the lyrics and their delivery of the lyrics... it was just... so.... cringe. I know im minority opinion but my first listen, i couldnt even get through the whole song. its super addictive and im sure ill get around to it but this was not it for me..

2024-09-03 20:39:54 +0000 UTCThis time, their team is finally doing their thing. They put a lot of effort into this comeback. No more (too much) minimalistic. The concept, the promotion, the music video, the production, and the credits for those crews behind it is chef's kiss. It's really great to see this improvement from their team. Although the song is not for some people's liking. I think it's one of their best albums for overall aspects. As a fearnots, I do agree that they've improved a lot with the live performance. They improved with controlling their pace when singing and dancing together. Maybe because this time the song is not vocal-based and the choreography is not too jumping like they had in previous albums. With the Coachella performance, they had been singing for 40 minutes with almost full choreography, plus the excitement because it's their first big stage. I think they did a pretty good job. And the mistake they made, they improved in the following week too. I don't think they deserved that much hate train. Their performance may not be the best, but I don't think it's that bad tho. Anyway, they still have a lot of room for improvement, and the most important thing is to keep improving! I recommend 1800-hot-n-fun Coachella stage version. With a live band, the song is so much more energetic! Fun facts: They prepared this album alongside EASY since last year and probably the next album HOT too. And they've been spoiling the choreography since last year at the music award show. So with people saying they copied other artists that released a song or an album this year is kinda funny lol.

I get it! That electric performance energy is what made me fall in love in kpop. In the KBS/Hot n' Fun performance, they are performing the lyrics and energy of the song, and it makes a huge difference to if they otherwise weren't. Some groups, not naming names, don't. Especially anymore; their peforming to be pandered to. :/

I personally love the ballad but that’s just because I’m a sucker for the emotional feel to their vocals. But you are so right, they came back with something to prove and they DID IT!!

I think the vision for the mv/concept was so well-thought-out because they've been teasing crazy's choreo since the unforgiven era during their award performances, it's probably part of a trilogy of easy, crazy, and the next era hot (hoping for it to be an ACTUAL full album). I think the girls suit cool yet fun and carefree concepts, and easy was too much of that cool/laidback vibe without the fun so it didn't resonate as well, but crazy is just full of excitement and FUN! after their debut/during antifragile they definitely upped their performance in terms of how they individually perform, and I think during this era they've improved again, especially after everything that has been going on this past couple of months. I completely agree that crazier is a bit of a "buzzkill", a deep house song would have been perfect like you said. But I do appreciate that yunjin is playing a part in not only writing but producing for the group. i think pierrot and 1-800-hot-n-fun are also good songs that fit into the vibe that crazy creates, i would love to see how they would perform pierrot. i'm excited for what they will show next because i do enjoy the versatility in their sound yet consistency in their message. some groups benefit from having a specific "sound" and consistently improving on it/expanding it (aespa, skz, newjeans) (for some grps with a specific sound, slightly "straying" from the sound or being too similar leads to criticism (ex. itzy, bp) while for other groups i enjoy the musical diversity while still having a common thread (lsf, twice, bts) (idk if i worded that correctly, my brain is running a thousand miles a minute lol). idk, i'm just excited for the girls and what they'll give us next (i would love them to have other b-sides that have the same vibe as impurities, blue flame, etc. it's been a while since we've had that. also, idk if it's possible, but i would LOVE a live performance with the house of juicy couture, the energy would be PHENOMENAL!!! also for the love of god, can they please add 1 or 2 songs if they're gonna have an intro (which they always do), i think it would feel more complete that way.

You can definitely feel the confidence and they just look like they are having FUN. Also love the inclusion in the video since we all know k-pop can veer too much into appropriation rather than appreciation sometimes lol but this is how you do it in my opinion and it elevates the song to a new level. I enjoyed Easy a lot more than most people seemed to, but I get what you are saying about how they didn’t own it as much as they did Crazy. I don’t think you’re wrong since I watched their documentary series recently and they seemed to struggle during that era and their hearts weren’t in it as much. I like your perspective on the criticism aspect as well and they seem to have the same attitude. Even after their first Coachella set which was heavily criticized, I noticed so much improvement the second week so it feels like they know how to use it to improve and challenge themselves to do better. It makes their concept/lyrics feel more authentic as well which I love. Thanks for the reaction loved watching you enjoy this so much😊

Yes, Kazuha is glowing in this era (she even did her first interview alone with Dex) for me the most improved member since their debut, specially her facial expressions now are super on point. She is finally giving in to her visual role too. Also, can we mention Chaewon and her rap voice? She even has a super decent flow!!! For me she just consolidated as an all rounder (if there ever was any doubt). The best title track since Impurities for me. GJ!

I completely agreed with you back when Easy came out, that particular brand of hot girl shit just isn't something that suits them for whatever reason and it felt played too straight for me. This shows that they can still deliver attitude and everything else but I feel like they're more at home when there's an undercurrent of some else to go with it, they need some quirk or sass or weirdness, just something that makes it feel like they're serving but we're all in on the gag together.
