But listening to the fanchants while watching THOSE dancers with Taemin got me Taeyeon also sounded great. I got chills the first time I listened to her on the track. I feel like this version was a little love letter to Sam's korean fans, so I love that they chose Taeyeon to be on it. She was the perfect choice for that song and the moment.

I know Taemin flew the dancers out for only 2 music shows which I can only guess would be a heck a paycheck the company had to put forward so I don’t except them to be on his tour unless maybe in a US stop if announced, but the fact that he was able to make this happen only speaks volumes of if as an artist and specifically a dancer. Taeyeon does what Taeyeon does and reminds of the talent I’m blessed to experience. She sounds so good when a western artist really matches with kpop artist they collab with and isn’t just a popularity pick, this just collab just makes so much sense. I would love for her to collab with more artist in general and I know she get plenty of love calls for international artist. Hope this is a gateway for more 💜

I know you’re always here for our pop king & queen the 2 Taes LOL & yes not enough people are talking about how significant it is for Taemin to be performing on Korean TV with a stage of black dancers who are soooo fucking iconic and world-renowned. Not just for his career and the choices he’s making but also as a signal to the rest of the industry and its…obnoxious close-mindedness. Sadly I think he did fly them out just for 2 performances because they weren’t dancing at his concert in Seoul! Also, his choreography at the beginning of the second verse is incredible and I think the other performance he did at Music Core shows it off way better than here even though this styling is superior. Clearly he’s really prioritising performance with these new songs and it shows! Hope you check out his concert because…it does NOT disappoint (imo) I have nothing to say about Taeyeon’s voice anymore, she’s literally a goddess and also she matched Sam Smith sooo well. I’m glad she sang throughout the whole song rather than just on a verse, it was such a beautiful collab! Thanks for your reactions as always
