BoA Here I am Concert 2013
Added 2024-08-27 09:08:52 +0000 UTCI feel like I did her dirty by mistake and should've watched the 2014 concert but that one had random songs I hadn't heard before so I went for this one but it wasn't really my bag.
All I KNEW was I wasn't starting with her best, the 2008 one lol.
The gag is, she is one of SM's best vocalists no doubt, her tone however can be a bit grating especially during her raspier moments, coupled with songs that aren't pretty melodically it's not as fun to listen to.
Only one is a perfect embodiment of a beautiful song production wise and vocally. I really thought she'd have at least one other song I'd LOVE, a couple came close but I'll push forward with another tour more recent like between 2014 & 2018.

I was a massive fan of BoA in her early years, from debut to approximately 2010 and used to collect her CD albums (man i'm old). Her voice changed a lot over the years and i started noticing her voice tone wasn't as pleasant to me coupled with the song choices didn't grab my attention anymore. i think her voice was fuller when she was younger and more chesty. Taeyeon's voice was also chesty when she was younger and changed to less chesty but she still sounds great. I'm not sure if BoA's tone change was due to maturing and getting older? or technique? or wear and tear? style? I still think she's extremely talented and i still check out her music releases whenever she releases something new but her old songs/singing style hit me differently.
