Went down memory lane and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. This was a perfect mix of group stuff but also the solo songs so early in their career was such a strong move that worked amazingly.
Seeing how they all had something different to say and had different sonic sounds shows why they're such a special group!
That run Jungkook did really had me SHOOK!

2024-12-06 18:41:57 +0000 UTCThis album gives me so much nostalgia even though I started listening to BTS in 2019 years after it came out lol. I remember hearing and reading the lyrics to First Love and just sitting there taking it all in, and OMG hearing stigma after watching guides that said V has a deep soulful voice and being so shocked he can hit that. I'm so glad they decided to go with solos I NEED MORE OF MY FAVS DOING SOLOS IN THEIR ALBUMS!! My favorite group dreamcatcher has done it in their full album and I've been waiting for my other favs ateez to do it but they gave us subunit songs instead which wasn't bad but wee still need a San R&B solo sexy kinda song!

2024-08-17 09:44:47 +0000 UTCman i love when hoseok sings. im clearly biased lol but he's one of my fav voices in kpop. he likes to experiment with his music and genres so i hope that in the future he will release even more vocal heavy songs. someone mentioned it already but his duet with yunjin ("i don't know") really impressed me, their voices go so well together. i need more bts x female artists in general, like tae x iu for example

2024-08-15 17:41:43 +0000 UTCI unironically really want jin's album to be a trot/alt album. I think it would really suit him. - Yah, j-hope has a pretty decent voice. Suga's also grew a lot in the past 2-3 yrs for his last album and tour. However, both don't often fully sing with raw live vocals, but you should watch suga sing life goes on from his tour, even if it's on your own time. Also, whoever made the comment about jhope's best vocal moments, I totally agree with them. RM also has a good voice for what he does, but he does kinda sing in that like steve lacy, tyler the creator way. So idk, it's maybe a bit polarizing. I actually never loved First Love and Reflection, because I feel like they have such different energy to the first four songs, which have also always been so strong to me. Honestly, I think Lie and Sigma are Jimin's and Tae's best bts solo songs. I also just generally think this album was like 2-3 songs too long. Especially with adding Spring Day and the supplementary album songs. Anyway, fun reaction! Take Care!

2024-08-15 15:30:04 +0000 UTCi forgot how good this album was oh my. stigma is my songgggg!!! watching that 21st century girl performance struck me with nostalgia i used to replay that every day i swear. and 2!3! is toooo good, the concert version made me cry. it’s been so long since i’ve seen any of these performances and songs so it felt good to go down memory lane with you.

And yes, about their solo songs, like the way BTS always pushed really strongly the idea that they are a group but in the same time that they are a group with seven very different artists is why we have the 7 members that are able to have a solid solo career now. And we can clearly see the foundations of what they each are doing now in this very first album were they all had one solo song. Also "2! 3!" is the first fan song they wrote for ARMY, so it will always have a special place in our hearts, for most of us x) And, the live performances are amazing (all the beautiful ad libs are there and louder), and for some performances you'll have the whole arena singing the chorus back to the members at the end of the song, it's beautiful.

2024-08-15 03:32:25 +0000 UTCI NEED you to hear singer hobi because I’m being dead serious when I say he has one of my favourite vocal tones in all of kpop 😂 There was even a full on debate a while back because he was singing Jungkook’s part in ON and everybody was arguing over wether it was actually him or not (it was 👹) he sings a LOT in their content just randomly but I need a full album! I want him on Lee Mujin but that’s probably never going to happen 🥲 I know there isn’t gonna be demand for this lol but if you’re interested or have free time though - ‘Lock/ unlock’ ft Nile Rodgers, ‘I don’t know’ ft Huh Yunjin (Lesserafim), ‘Blue side’ full length and ‘Equal sign’ are all songs where he sings quite a bit. The first two are from his ost album he made for his dance documentary - maybe you’d have fun watching the individual dances that go to them too, it’s pretty neat!

That’s why it starts and ends with him saying twice “when I was growing up, to the side of my home was a brown piano”, and then he starts talking about learning to play, and then everything he went through in life and how even when he tried to give it up, he couldn’t leave music behind and he always came back to it. His first love was his piano.
