S.E.S 20th Anniversary Album

I was asked and I was also curious!

Mothers truly. Considering they're 20 years in, they managed to have great production and good songs, for the most part the songs just aren't my taste though.

I would've loved more mind blowing vocal moments like that one high note in one of the last songs but I also understand why at this stage they wouldn't be doing all that.

It's also INSANE to me how similar Jessica is tonally to all 3 of them. It seems she truly fit the SM vocal style from before because Boa also has similar technique. Maybe one day I'll check out another album of theirs.

Enjoy!

YES! Also, Surprise. It's often overlooked but I think it's their most cohesive album, there aren't noticeable drops in quality as in some/most of their other albums.

eva ^_^

Late comment but if you wanted to check out another album from them I would recommend either a letter from Greenland or choose my life u, friend is good for soul to soul but imo those 2 are their best albums

Teddy Riley needs to come back man. oo I'll have to check that out

Have you ever heard their song "S.II.S (Soul To Soul)" ? Production style reminds me of Darkchild's work, but it's one of my favorite songs... and it has YYJ layered in as well. Along similar lines there's a song by Shinhwa called Hiway that also has that same feel. Anywayy---- I love Hush so much.. I mean Teddy Riley, Daniel Obi Klein and Charli Taft on the production, just amazing.

They all focused on their solo music career after disbanding in 2002. Eugene's music career didn't take off well, so she went more into acting, which really boosted her career. Bada's solo career took off and she's still doing it today. Shoo pursued a career in musical theatre and appeared in a few tv shows, but her gambling addiction led to her being sentenced to two years probation and 80 hours of community service.

actually thinking about it....i think they may have actually randomly gotten together for a performance on a variety show before this

The original. You're going down quite the throwback the past few days.....very cool. Yeah, this album was pretty fan servicey and not as much effort was put into the songwriting (which is understandable). When they released this, the BIGGEST thing was that they performed at the MBC Music Festival that year for the first time since they disbanded (similar to how KARA came back and performed at MAMA a few years ago). It obvi wasn't live but they DID re-record I'm Your Girl and Remember for the performance and had the MR.....they sounded great and it was just cool to hear them sing in their mid 30s and how their voices had gotten more mature and deeper. Pretty impressive considering Shoo and Eugene really hadn't professionally sang at all since SES
