Same here with Lauren... A broken heart is a terrible thing ... And it has even worried me to feel identified with her need to find a way of escape, "a pain that replaces another pain". Too bad that never ends well ...

But going back to the beginning we see Alecto choking Vain and Thaddeus as Lauren, who seems to have the wings of a Cupid and the tail of a succubus (but still wearing a shirt and skirt??) lays bleeding. We also learned the Alecto changed to Bauphette, yet Lauren is seeing Alecto. So, either there is some crazy timeline stuff going on or we will somehow come to see Bauphette go back to being Alecto/?

2021-04-30 19:46:42 +0000 UTCNot gonna lie, I'm hoping "bringer of my doom" is meant more in the "eternal destiny" sense than the "I'm fucked up beyond all repair by the end of this" sense. :) By the way, I'm really impressed with the depth of Lauren's issues. You captured her specific mental state very well. What amazes me most, though, is that I feel like you've written Lauren into a state where you'd need a genuine psychologist to analyze her character and identify what she'll do, and what will help her. How do you write a character with such deep psychological issues without having a degree in psychology yourself? Is it a matter of research, consultation, or just storytelling instinct?
