They sang each other's songs beautifully! There's not much else to say really hahah. I probably would've enjoyed this more if I like D.O's music more and that's kinda why I wasn't eager to watch it.

2024-07-23 02:42:27 +0000 UTCI totally understand people who feel like he is underutilizing his voice with this solo music, but personally his solo albums are my ultimate comfort songs which is exactly what he says he wants to achieve through his music, so I think it’s ok that it doesn’t satisfy everyone - I love every song he’s released so always interesting to hear people with different tastes!

So I will never really get tired of his solo music, because his voice is still comforting to me even if maybe the style of music isn't 100% my cup of tea. He simply makes the music he likes himself. His favorite artists are these sing-songwriter types and he spoke about how he's trying to be more lyrics-based in his music. I feel like SM didn't pushed/supported him enough at the beginning of his solo career - they got him a handful of demos and called it a day. Of cause he'd choose songs that were more chill or savely inside his comfort zone when fresh out off the military. It's also evident that he doesn't really want to put on a performance for his solo music, he's content with just sitting down and singing :D I'm sure he will develop more as an solo artist in the future, especially now that he's with his own company. But yeah, it's a bit dissapointing when he isn't using his full potential as a singer, but at the same time I'm just happy he's making music that makes him happy. His acting is amazing and I like him as an actor a lot, but it would've been a shame if we'd lost him completely to the acting world.
