Added 2024-07-13 12:02:56 +0000 UTCWhat a surprising voice, I reacted to her first service over a year ago but have nooo idea what my comments were but here I was really surprised by how much BODY her voice can have because usually singers with the tone she has have smaller voice.
Instead, she can really support it and give it weight when necessary.
I LOVE how in sync me and Mujin were in two major observations haha.

Such a shame because they are my fav kpop group, but I don't know what Soyeon was thinking. Both Dumdi Dumdi and Queencard were amazing summer songs compared to Klaxon. Anyway, Miyeon is here to save us <3

2024-07-14 08:27:26 +0000 UTCRegarding Miyeon, I am too much of a stan to be objective.. but a few thoughts to share Her voice is an underrated reason why many idle songs do much better in Korea compared to overseas. As you and Mujin noted, It has that balance of fragility & power that they love so much and Soyeon usually uses it in the choruses. It also works well in the ballads/osts that Koreans like Usually when you talk about a unique voice, you would think of singers with big, obvious vocal styles/tones. Miyeon obviously isn't that but strangely enough her voice is difficult to mimic. And once you have picked it out, it becomes easily identifiable everywhere. I tend to compare her to Taeyeon in that regard As per usual, on every Miyeon reaction video, I bother you about reacting to her solo album, haha. I sincerely think she's the idle solo artist whose tastes most align with yours
