F(X) Red Light Album Review

This was requested to me and thought I'd do it straight way since I hadn't done them in so long!
I definitely the first half of the album more because it had more experimentation and unpredictability. I do wish the vocal melodies were more stand out throughout, it feels like they take a back seat to the unique musical production instead which does work but they have strong vocalists that should be utilised a bit more.
Maybe it's just how they've mixed the vocals also because the moments ARE there, they're just placed in your face!
I'll definitely do the 4 walls album at some point too!

2024-07-31 17:27:36 +0000 UTC23:25 no fr... i lowkey feel like f(x)'s music never really showed her full potential as a vocalist in the same way as other main vocals, only in her layering and background vocals. however, her first solo EP i think does a pretty good job at showing her range if you're ever interested in listening to that, vocally stunning.

2024-06-19 12:27:05 +0000 UTCF(x) are definitely not a vocal heavy group, even as strong as Luna is vocally(heck I think she’s technically stronger than Wendy and Tayeon). She doesn’t get much vocal moments unless you go to their ballads or some spread out moments in their discography, and Krystal is fairly average amongst other lead vocalists from SM. The four walls album is not too much of a step up tbh from a vocal stand point, I would even say that their first album is where they have the most impressive vocal moments
