I have no had an A+ album in a very long time but I HAD to commend the INSANE growth and improvement in production values, vocals, mixing and overall execution. This album is also cohesive and I know will grow on me over time.
Thoroughly impressed with the musicality and definitely falling for Wonyoung's voice, it has such a great presence but also we had some fantastic low notes from everyone and great harmonies. THEY TORE THIS SHIT RIGHT UP!!

They play to their strengths so well and aren't trying to force their way into the charts or anything like that because the artistry really speaks for itself. UGHHH i might have to stan immediately.

It definitely sounds like the culmination of their previous works; this kind of expensive, eerie club music vibe has always been present but this is so refined, THIS is on an other level and the depth of the sounds and the notes they're hitting and HARMONIES!

2024-04-30 10:36:19 +0000 UTCI wonder if Ive will be able to get a big US breakthrough with this album. Their US numbers are surprisingly low considering the bangers that they consistently put out. From a music standpoint, they should be one of the biggest Kpop acts in US/West. If they can't breakthrough with this album, it really speaks to the power of established networks/marketing that Hybe/YG has My ult stans are gidle + IU (and stayc maybe getting there), but for those acts I can understand why they are not huge in US/West. The type of music they put out would not breakthrough. But for Ive, I seriously do not understand why

I would have preferred Ice Queen to be the 2nd single instead of Accendio but that's a minor gripe. It feels like Ive's music production has leveled up this time. Did they get more money & time, or did they just level up themselves? Long side-note: Which is curious because Ive has a consistent music production method since debut. The same dude (Ryan Jhun) leads on every single track since debut but I think he hardly writes/arranges anything literally. Production is done song-camp/out-source style with lots of composers/arrangers. So, he mainly acts as taste-maker: deciding what goes in/out, who writes what, which composer/producer should he get to improve which part of the song, etc... I am not trivializing his skills, what he does above is genuinely the most important thing. And it seems he has found a way to level-up on this, which is interesting

Wonyoung did amazing with Blue Heart. I love her creativity! She said she wrote it with the hyper scrutiny of female idols in mind.
