NCT 127 UNITY SEOUL Concert Review!!

Soo, obviously when the concept started and there were no live vocals it kinda put this barrier up between me and the performance indirectly and I do still feel like opening with a song that has live vocals is ALWAYS a plus HOWEVER seeing the whole show, it kinda made sense as a way for them to preserve their energy cos BABY Once we got to Kick it???!?!?! I was really to throw myself out of my hotel room window!
The live vocals, their shouts, the dancing, I don't remember when I last experienced such MONUMENTAL EXHILARATING ENERGY. ESPECIALLY cos I LOVEE the music so much, like this was a 90/95% solid setlist I think and that's just CRAZY.
I think it would be great IF they did work on some more studio rearrangement for the first half so it feels like it's unique to a concert experience much like they do with Favourite otherwise you're kinda just going through the motions as a viewer.
Their chemistry and friendship is sooo undeniable though, so sad Taeyong's enlisted. He's truly JUST A BABY. I wish they had released Be there for me earlier so they performed it here but also JUSTICE FOR STICKER HELLO?!?! HAHA
And of COURSE there were technically difficulties so after the first 35 mins I changed to headphones which improves the experience overall since the video kept doing weird lagging prior to my speakers death so I'm glad it died.

2024-08-02 13:24:08 +0000 UTCfinally back after 2 months!! due to life and other stuff it took me this long to get to watch this but am so happy I was finally able to! I agree on all the points you made starting from arrangements to stage production and energy. For arrangements I did wish they had maybe explored some options with a live band or re-arrangements like you mentioned they did for Favorite. The reason you maybe couldn't recognize Fly Away With Me during the slow section was probably because it was rearranged with added rap sections from Mark and Taeyong which only proves the point about changing up the music. In regards to stage production, I definitely wished they had some dancers or some props maybe to spice up the performances. As much as I love all the new performances for the songs we hadn't heard live yet I agree that I wanted something I could only ever experience at a concert. Their recent performance of Walk at the SBS Summer Gayo Daejon is the staging I would have liked for some of the concert at least. Lastly for their energy, I will say this this was the last day of a two-week six-day concert for them so I definitely think they were trying to conserve energy for the end of the concert. But similarly to you, I got so hyped and thrilled when that last section before the encore happened purely from their energy I so wished we could have felt that a bit more throughout. Overall, I'm so glad I got to relive this concert with you and just see your reaction to what these boys had to show. This set list was stunning (justice for queen Sticker) and I am so amazed and proud of all of them for carrying through such an emotional moment in their careers both physically (with the absence of Taeil) and mentally (the start of their enlistment era).💚💚 I can't wait for all 9 of them to be back together and show us thrilling performances like the beautiful artists they have grown to be. P.S. I would DIE to see a current concert with the Fact Check and Walk album as their setlist and huge stage production!!! Would do literally ANYTHING to be there 💚💚

Yes unfortunately they had a few concerts prior to releasing Be There For Me, Seoul being one of them, so that wasn't part of the set list at the time but obviously I'm glad we still have some recordings of the concerts this year where they did perform it!! Ok, am going to watch your reaction now and will be back once I'm done :)

2024-04-22 14:14:13 +0000 UTCcommenting about this in case you didn't hear about it, doyoung's first solo album dropped a few hours ago! i personally liked it, but i probably won't be listening to all of the songs frequently just because a lot of them had that classic ost sound to them. my favourites were 'from little wave' + 'time machine (feat. taeyeon & mark)' + 'dallas love field'. i'm not sure if you'll love the songs on the album that much (it's like 50% ost sounding, so depends on whether you like those types of songs or not). but for me personally i just love his voice enough for it to make up for the album not necessarily having the sound i gravitate towards, but he is my bias so my opinion might be quite literally biased lmao. i also like that he's clearly not fucking with the new 5th gen 1.5minute long songs, the average length of the songs is like 3.5minutes haha anyway, no pressure to check it out or anything! i just thought i'd let you know because you may not have heard about it (they didn't rly promote it much), and it could be something you'd be interested in. either way, thank you for reacting to the concert it was really nice watching with you :)

I still remember when i watched The Unity day 1 show in Seoul, i thought this has got to be the best setlist they’ve had! I was on the edge the whole time lol. Even the ballad section i was so in tuned. It was so magical with the curtain and the background effects…then i saw clips for day 6 of the show, and i felt regret not going that day instead.. i wish i was there to witness Taeil singing Touch with them onstage coz now with TY enlisted, it’ll be awhile until we see all of them together in one stage and not to mention that ending ment😭 I’ve never seen Mark cry so much on stage. Even Haechan! doyoung crying asking taeil to come back quickly.. seeing everyone be so emotional totally broke my heart. TY was able to hold it together during the ment but he was also sobbing so much on day 5 of the show😭 I’m just so proud of them for pulling off 6 shows for this stop in Seoul (3 consecutive days each week)! Their stamina is on another level but that’s also why they look tired. They deserve so much more but SM just continues to sabotage them with botched tour, comeback promo, etc😭 They didn’t perform Be there for me because this concert was before the album was released. But they performed Be there for me and Misty in other stops after the album was released. Anyway, let me watch this reaction now haha. Thank you again💚

Sticker is so good live didn’t even notice that damn flute I love Rino no idea why the subtitles said Lee Know lol. But yes indeed she is MOTHER. She started out choreographing for SM before being their long time concert director. for BoA, Girls' Generation, Shinee, Taemin, SuperM , Dream…. You mentioning Excuse Me Miss remind me of her. It never fails to gag me when I remind myself that Rino started her career with choreographing Shinee’s Replay Then she was part of the team behind SNSD’s iconic Genie choreography

I was like "What are you trying to do right now?" "Why are you suddenly trying to be sexy?" I had to look away from my screen whenever the camera went to DY during those stages. LOL

2024-04-20 01:52:13 +0000 UTCthose red outfits were some of the best group styling i've ever seen for 127 like wow. i didn't realize everyone looked so good in red in this group. this concert was one of my favorites although i wish they had performed sticker and be there for me (i don't think be there for me had been released at this point or it had just been released and they didn't have much time to incorporate it into the set list). thanks for watching and i'm glad you enjoyed it. those 20 minutes where they all were bringing it were seriously the 127 that i know and love.

This is not a request, but something I really enjoyed watching which I think you might like too in your own time is the Lost Boys docuseries, it's about 127. The series delves into the personal lives of the each of the members (a lot more personal than I expected) and uses performance art to tell their stories which I thought was quite creative (I.e. songs, dance performances and more). Anyways, just thought you might enjoy it since you love 127. Now excuse me while I go find a box of tissues and some popcorn ahaha!!!

I was bawling when this aired and then Twitter had the footage of Taeil joining them on stage and singing Touch. I wrecked. Anyway, great show and that set list was top tier.

Man, I think the last time we saw Mark cry was his graduation, he didn't cry when he got to return to Vancouver. Man, the ending killed me, even more knowing Mahae couldn't make it to see Taeyong off. Mark and Yuta killed it the entire concert. One of the biggest tells for me of whether or not NCT lipsyncs or not is Mark, his energy and adlibs give it away easily. This setlist was fantastic. It's hilarious you asking where Sticker was beacuse czennies wanted it as well and at one of the tour stops the members were genuinely shocked that the fans were requesting for it.

I laughed when you said that Mark and Yuta should be a sub-unit because I was in agreement, but literally at the same time said, but Mark is already in ten groups...the busiest man in k-pop. Lol. You also had me on the floor talking about Doyoung..."He can fuck..." Lol. I started looking at him w/ new eyes when DoJaeJung debuted. Anywho...there's some songs that I wish they did, but even w/o those, this was very entertaining. Loving your concert reactions and looking forward to the next one.

They gave their all but it was also bittersweet somehow They are suuch amazing musicians/performers and I‘m sure the reason they cried so much at the end was not (only) mainly bc of the enlistment era itself, but also because of the huge regret they felt of not being able to have done more as a group until this very point (SM I‘m looking @ u). Like they know they could‘ve done more with better circumstances. Haechan at the end also said something like "it‘s just such a shame" and I think that sums it up. Technically they haven‘t been as a full group since august (Taeil‘s injury) and now that Taeyong started the enlistment era w/ Taeil also going this year and so on, they know that it‘s going to take a while.. I also don‘t think MK has ever cried that much on stage or infront of a camera at all & seeing them break down like that was so heartbreaking to see😭 I wish them the best, we know they take a huge pride in this group, so we just have to wait and see how they‘ll do going forward. Like you said, it‘s a new era! Also from what they have spoiled, aside from their solo stuff, it seems like they have been working on new 127 musiccc, so that‘ll come out too Ok, I‘mma go ahead and watch the full video now haha thanks for the reaction/review!
