You’re so right about the phrasing!! It makes her singing so satisfying to hear because the timing matches so well with the music. The duet song: Love in the Milky Way Cafe is also my morning alarm!! The original artist 10cm also has a bit of a nasal tone which makes covers for the song not satisfying if the cover artist doesn’t also have a satisfying tone.

But as a rapper especially. Soyeon as a rapper is one of the best at cadence, delivery and phrasing. And I can hear that it carries over very well during singing. I feel like she has such understanding of a song that she molds it into her own.

And every step, everyone knew how talented she was but she had to keep going, and eventually just say "fuck it" and do it herself. She's my top 1 in Kpop and its truly just her spirit that I can't get past. Even the things she makes, she clearly has her own style, but she also talks so much about writing the songs for the other members' sound, and also values their support so much. The video she talked about with the black lips and the sand was the concept trailer for their comeback here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g_L_DZFdSNI) Also, I really think that the thing that makes her my favorite rapper is her phrasing, so I think it also carries over into her vocal technique and her singing. She does dynamics in her raps very well and adlibs and accents all over the place, so everything is very intentional. I think she thinks about her singing in the same way

Also, not sure if this will entice him, but they released one recording video last album where Minnie was the producer (since he is Minnie biased)
