TAEMIN Metamorph Review!

First and foremost, he looks GODLY, MY GOD. He's truly become a man and I'm loving seeing his body confidence, I'm sure he's proud of the hard work it took to get there. Those dance breaks and new arrangments for a couple of songs like criminal were STELLAR and exactly what I look for in a concert, HOWEVER.
The lack of live vocals which is about 90% of the time did not make for a stimulating concert for me especially seeing as the staging and costuming for the dancers and even for some of his wasn't particularly mind-blowing. A lot of people, I dunno if it's his nerves that he mentioned but it felt like a dress rehearsal, the lack of audience noise also didn't help tbh.
The moments he did sing live were my HIGHLIGHTS - Want and the encore songs particularly. It's a shame I'm not a big fan of the Guilty EP so naturally when he performs those songs it’s not the most stimulating.

I mean it would be kind of delusional to not see something was weird here. I'm glad you're voicing these kind of things. Also i think the next SHINee project will be interesting "HARD" was a difficult time for them too with Jinki not really there and Taemin a bit down. Their last performance as a group finally felt like them again (energy and live vocals). But yeah i think your reactions to any SHINee related thing last year made perfect sense too bad some people can't see past their bias sometimes we only meen well to artists we really enjoy and want to see at their best !

This is why I always say what I'm observing and picking up on when others don't like it because energy doesn't lie and I cut through the facade even when people moan and say it's ruining the vibe hence why this reaction didn't get much engagement but clearly something was going on. Thanks for commenting and bring my attention to this!

2024-08-24 08:37:03 +0000 UTCSo late to this but your reaction is so interesting especially the "he doesn't look happy/ in it" now that we know this was his last concert under SM its safe to say it was showing ! I think he needed more space to move and do things his way and watching his performances latelly my GOD. He's locked in, i was even impressed by the music stages so it says a lot, also his last perf of guilty with the hand mic and full live vocals ? We're miles away from this concert. We'll see where he takes this musically after this ep but in terms of performance rewatching this concert made realise its only going up from there. He looks happy and in it !

I enjoyed the second half of Shinee's concert more than the first half for sure and yeah I didn't love either of their comebacks this year but grew to like more songs from Shinee's album than Taemins but I totally get where you're coming from, some people still enjoy when I'm not happy cos it entertains them lool.

It seems you didn't like "Hard," "Guilty," their concert, and their recent works in general, for understandable reasons. I appreciate your honesty, but I can't help feeling disappointed that you didn't enjoy them. I'm not blaming you; it's just less enjoyable to watch someone who isn't happy. While I agree with some of your points, like about the concert, I personally loved "Guilty"—the song, performances, MV, everything was perfect for me. Anyway, thanks for the reaction, and I hope you continue to support Taemin. I appreciate your honest reactions.

2023-12-21 05:32:02 +0000 UTCokay i finally finished watching!! so the thing is, i watched the fancams of his concert and i prefer those videos over the beyond live concert. i'm glad i didn't pay money for it because beyond live didn't do it justice at all. i could personally feel more energy through the fancams because you can hear the audience & i could see him fully (not just random zoom ins of his face lol). if they recorded this decently i would've enjoyed it more. also i do agree about how they dressed the back up dancers. i feel like as time goes on, stylists refrain from trying more "fun" looks - especially for back up dancers. if there was more sparkle, more color...it would've been *chef kiss*. let's bring fun back!! otherwise, i did enjoy it a lot and i missed seeing him perform. i hope SM allows taemin (or shinee) to do a world tour fr.
