[WIP] Working on a modern AU comic

Happy Pride Month! 🥳 I'm still yet to finished anything from last month so I still feel like it's May to me.

I want to talk about a side project that I am currently putting a lot of effort in these days!

Took me roughly a day to draft out the general plot, and a week to plan out the thumbnails. It is a very generic modern AU. I think I did modern AU just for the sake of wanting to do a modern AU. About 10k words in Chinese. But everything will be translated (I'll try my best)

I'm a coward so I don't want to show too much of the thumbnails this time 😂

The whole story can be read without NSFW, the NSFW part is almost just like a bonus at the very end of the story. I tried my best to write the character as if you don't play ffxiv but still including a lot of ffxiv references and easter eggs, you can treat this entire story like an original BL and it will still work.

Without the NSFW in total is 69p (nice)
With NSFW is around 92~95p, I've only drafted out about 11 pages so far, I'm not great with drafting or even writing NSFW so I'd rather just draw them as I go.

There are a few environments inside the story that I don't think I'll be able to do without any references. So this week I've been working on the set design of the places.

I wanted to show Natus' apartment first. I opened Maya for the first time in my life in 3 years 😂

I have a few best friends called TurboSquid and CGTrader to help me with the more detailed assets. For the most part I just need something to trace over and can plan out my panels better.

As for the completion of the pages, it won't be super rendered. The most I can do are rough sketches with a few tones. Something close to the Themis references in this post!

I think I have everything ready to go, so I am really excited to share more progress with you guys in the future. I hope to draw 2-3 pages a day in June so by the end of this month I will have everything major done...🙂
