The comparison of new information to learned information is one of the fundamental ways our brains work to classify new input. It's one of the primary techniques our brains use to make sense of the universe. We can't shut it off. Kpop reactors usually just find ways to talk around it, because it kicks off endless comments. It's possible to be respectful while still giving informed commentary and criticism, which you have demonstrated countless times on your channel, Micah.

I know the hate train on skz makes stays really defensive and any slight comment can set some stays off but as long as the comment is not mean spirited stray kids music (which I find amazing as someone who ults skz) is unique and not everyone cup of tea.
