I wouldn't dare say they're gonna flop but I dunno. They might grow on me once they release something, I LOVE Yunah so I'm really happy but I wish Jeemin and Chanelle were there too.
A damn shame.

She was mainly the only reason I watched I-land 2 but I discovered lots of gems in that survival show! The first few episodes were lackluster but it def picks it up. It would’ve been great to see your opinion on it but I respect your decision. ANYWAYS! Thank you for always not being scared of speaking your mind, I feel genuine sincerity from you when I watch your reactions. I know you said you don’t like survival shows but ironically your survival show videos have been my fav LOL

You might have already said your opinion on the show, and if so then I am having trouble finding it. In my opinion, GP999 is definitely up there regarding the talent in the survival shows (though I am biased towards Kep1er) and I am lowkey interested to hear and see your feedback on the show. Seeing how much you enjoyed Boys Planet, I feel like (and hope) you would enjoy GP999 just as much. If you end up reacting to the show, then I will be SAT and ready.

2024-07-27 17:36:47 +0000 UTCI actually kinda don't understand the whole point of this show (i mean, i GET it as far as awareness and having the public get to know these girls without having to release music) but the entire production was kind of mid and it very much seemed like there was a LOT going on in re to evaluations behind the scenes. Even the voting was not tailored to a tv show, it very much seemed like actual scoring that a company would do in house.....these nebulous large numbers that probably had a dozen different sub-categories that the audience just wasn't privy to. Add to that the number of ACTUAL Hybe employees who probably do these reviews on a weekly basis being "judges". If HYBE just wanted to create a girl group and then debut them based off their internal ranking systems and whatnot, they should've just done that. Not this weird....kind of audience vote but only for 2 members thing. Seems like post show ending all it did was annoy the general public

2023-10-20 15:52:05 +0000 UTCIt'll be a HYBE group and HYBE has done nothing to indicate that they won't properly support a group (in comparison to other companies) regardless of insane crazy ARMY crying and screaming of their mistreatment of BTS on a daily basis. Reality is, HYBE has the resources and cash on hand to MAKE SURE that the group at worst will just be OK and kind of hang around through to their 7 yr contract. With the exception YG (who has their whole share of problems) groups in the big 4 companies tend to at least get through to their 7 yr mark. Unfortunately, I think Wonhee will get a massive amount of hate for a while (like huening bahiyyih has and is still currently getting with Kepler for similar voting chicanery reasons)

Since it's hybe I'm comparing them to babymonster - BM has 3m followers on ig, they average like 600k-1.5m likes on their posts. I'll IT only has 132k followers with 40-50k likes per post. It feels like hybe has done a pretty poor job generating hype for these girls. It could change though once they get closer to debut

It’s just kinda not cohesive and I can’t put my finger on why? Definitely missing something. I don’t really see the appeal of Minju but I knew her and Wonhee were gonna get in as soon as I heard how they were doing voting😂 this is also reminding me not to get my hopes up for dream academy bc hybe’s decision making is very questionable😩

I knew Jiwoo wasn't making it because Korea hated her and called her too old (but I kept voting). I think Chanelle put the nail in her coffin. Yunah and Youngseo, I always included them in my lineup. I figured one minor would make it and thought it would be Iroha. Iroha was consistently ranked high, including in Hybe evaluations. She wasn't a shock to me; Japan put her on their backs. As soon as they said Korea would be the only one able to live to vote, I knew Wonhee was making it. Korea loved her. Moka never stood out to me but I guess Hybe liked her for a reason I was only shocked that Jeemin didn't make it.

2023-10-17 09:59:48 +0000 UTCLMFAOOO let me tell you everyone (including me) was in SHAMBLES over this lineup. Maybe like 5 people were happy. Basically, only the top2 were chosen by fan voting, which was like 75% SK and 25% int. The next 4 were judges picks. Jeongeun and Jeemin both made the final lineup in votes, but the judges didn’t pick them to be in the lineup. Since the show ended, I’ve accepted the lineup, but it’s still difficult knowing the potential this group could have been. Hybe clearly had a lineup planned from the beginning, so for me it felt like they wasted their time with making a survival show, especially when they didn’t even care that much about it in the first place. I also don’t think the girls would be getting nearly as much hate as they are if they just announced the lineup without a survival show. Hopefully Chanelle, Jeemin, Jiwoo, and Jeongeun can debut eventually. Would be a shame to let all that talent go. Thanks for finishing this mess of a survival show lol. I will probably never be watching another one after this (I’m probably lying)
