Sunday update
Added 2025-12-21 15:55:13 +0000 UTCYesterday my laptop suddenly broke down — it wouldn’t turn on at all. Most likely it’s an old issue with the power controller or the BIOS. But today, somehow, it magically turned on, so I’m writing this post while backing up EVERYTHING I have. That’s about 1.5 TB of data.
Thanks to your support, I have a premium GoFile subscription, which allows me to back everything up safely. Tomorrow I’ll take the laptop to a repair service and really hope everything will be fine. Luckily, it’s still under warranty until January 14.
While it’s being repaired, I’ll continue working on dialogues using my old PC.

Gofile is VERY reliable. Probably the best. At least once you get the data there, you will not ever loose it. It would be tragic to loose even 1 GB and loosing 1.5 TB, I have no words. The good thing is, as long as the SSD is not broken itself, the data can always be recovered. Even if the PC is not repairable 🙂. Then you can put the data back in your new PC 🤓, eventually.

2025-12-21 16:34:46 +0000 UTCWith my luck it would have broken on January 15 🙄. You were lucky. Since the PC turned back on, maybe you have a thermal overload protection? Wow, 1.5 TB! That is going to take a while! Just the thought makes me cringe 😵💫. I try to back up every couple of days, but even that is a lot of work 😅. My OS system backs up automatically every day so it is very hard to break anything permanently. I can also do that manually if there is a major change.
