Tonight belongs to them

Hi all,
Jillian here and I have something to say....
I. love. ensemble. members.
And you should too.
You may ask why I love ensemble members so much. Some of you may already have a strong love of them yourself. For those who are not as familiar, ensemblist (a term coined by one of my other favorite theatre podcasts aptly named The Ensemblist. Check it out.) are the actors/singers/dancers who help create the world of the show. They're typically found in musicals but sometimes plays that have big casts too (I see you The Ferryman).
Ensemble members, also known as chorus or company members, are arguably some of the hardest working people on Broadway, off-Broadway, touring companies, regional stages, you name it. Casey Nicholaw said in our interview with him (ep 36) that ensemble members really set the tone of the show.
The month of May has been an incredible one. The pod has been taken over by The Prom, the new musical with 7 Tony nominations. We've released episodes with the stars and creatives from the show but our most popular episode by far has been ep 35 with Becca Lee, Teddy Toye, and Mary Antinoni, three of the ensemble cast members.
When I was younger, I knew not just all the names of the stars of my favorite shows, but also the names of all the ensemblists too. They're just so important and deserve more recognition than they often get. When we spoke with Teddy, Mary, and Becca, you could tell immediately how much they love this show, their jobs, and their lives. They are working so hard every night to put on a show while knowing the importance of this story to so many people around the world who come see it. They are the epitome of #dreamscometrue and I see bright futures for them and the entire ensemble of The Prom. I love their energy and from what I can tell, so do our listeners.
One of our goals with this patreon is to start releasing more in-between bonus episodes. We have received so much feedback asking for more ensemble episodes and we hear you. The quickest way for us to get those episodes to you is with your support. Thank you to those who support us already and thank you to those who will be soon. Alan and I really, really love making this podcast and we want to continue to grow and make more and more. With your help, I know we will.
