2024-09-12 11:22:18 +0000 UTCI had to move my collection last year. About 50 rifles and 50 pistols for a round about figure. Did the lasagna method with 50 Milsurps using moving blankets in the back of my Toyota 4Runner plus a T-Gewehr. For pistols I used a large pelican case meant for photography equipment and did the lasagna method as well. For the 50 pistols I also wrapped each one with an old clean sock or quick thing of bubble wrap just in case.

2024-09-01 18:48:01 +0000 UTC3-wheelers weren't just a southern thing My uncle had a 3 wheeler when I was a kid in Northern NJ (no rednecks up there, just ridge runners), I remember it being a lot of fun to ride. I knew several folks with them when they got outlawed much to everyone's shock.

The next time you go down that way you should pick some up, since it's absurdly expensive to ship. [Let's be honest, it's absurdly pricey to start with...] Or you could ask FortNine to bring some with him when he visits, since it's available in far off Canuckistan since it comes from France so all the Quebois get a sweetheart deal for importing it and then can share it w/ the rest of those crazy friendly peeps w/ maple syrup for blood....

2024-08-24 18:37:12 +0000 UTCThree wheeler story is spot on, my story is the first time riding at my friend's tree farm I was weaving between small oaks when I noticed. " this thing doesn't handle like my dirt bike!" I ended up still in the seat with both my legs under the back wheels still turning as I was trying to avoid a tree. Legs were a little stretched with painfull knobbytire marks on my calves.

2024-08-24 05:57:15 +0000 UTCFor pistols, why not cut up a moving blanket and use a big suitcase? if it's tight and you are careful then it sould be ok. Should probably strap it with some ratchet straps for the weight.
