Bit behind the curve this last couple weeks between illness & work, but catching up. Excited to hear about the SKS update, sorry to hear about the financial woes. Doing my part that I can I finally went up a level of support. If my financial situation works out like I hope the next couple months I plan to go up again if I can. Might have to drop Drachinifel, but that dude is doing fine and unlike you guys, I don't even look at his patron page, I can't even keep up with his regular output. Keep on keeping on guys, you deserve some good times to head your way.

As a new patreon member, this is my first podcast that I have listened to. This is great! Thank you for everything that you do. I discovered your youtube channel in November and have been trying to catch up ever since, starting with the Label. I just finished the Colt 1907/09 episode so I’m slowly getting there. Once again thank you.

Yes the 20 cases I added the brass ring to the rims took hours also but I did a few at a time over a month so it was not too taxing

John Stucchi

I made some cases with 50-90 sharps. You get the correct rim, but it took hours to make 5

Are you familiar with the old "Aircraft in Profile" series? It was 200+ pamphlet sized monographs covering an individual aircraft (or significant variation for more important ones). There were also collected volumes hardbound. Any of your shooting scripts could be cleaned up - no grunts on paper and combined with some tabular information and select photos and published. Put them out either as POD or formatted for Kindle for a few bucks each, or even as a subscription.

I love these podcasts, really appreciate them

The Mossberg you referred to are the 342 (bolt) and 352 (semi-auto) carbines with the folding forend. They were made from 1957 to the 1960s.

If you do stick a JoLoAr lever on a Glock, remember to add a small spring so it doesn't do the floppy thing.

Halinspark

I agree with fun guns being more popular, I mean look at Berettas tomcat and bobcat covert, now 30X series. Who's buying a .32acp that's as thick as a Glock for pocket carry? It's the fun market. I say this as a guy who has a 21A covert and it's wicked fun

Maybe a determined idiots brand of silly firearm attachments?

Was able to listen to part 1 now with the mp3 file. Thanks, your awesome!

John Stucchi

Answer for the Kevin Reichert comment, I had added a brass ring with silver solder to my 50-110 cases for my Gras, turned down from 17mm OD brass tubing with 2mm wall thickness. Not easy but now I have 20 cases that will extract.

John Stucchi

Not sure what you've tried, but hard refresh on the page, log out and back in, attempt listening to the patreon player version or download the mp3 file attached to the part 1 post. If none of that works, reach out to patreon's tech support, they've been pretty responsive to others in the past and should be able to figure out the problem. But it does look like others are able to listen to part 1 without issue.

C&Rsenal

Good listening. The pod chaos is fun and we like to hear more on how 'the sausage is made'

For some reason part one will not open for me

John Stucchi

If Sven is making parts for old guns, I recommend the Gras 1874 extractor. Many that come to the US don’t have them. I was happy to find one for $100. You even can double dip by making originals and a modified version that reliably extracts gras rounds formed from 50-110 brass with its shorter rim narrower rim. I plan to try and making one using my original as a template, but I haven’t had the time to do much more than taking dimensions.
