Unloading Podcast 100 - Part 2

Comments

You got to start fights like Navi the rat paraillegal does on Twitter about that the M-16 and the AR-15 are the same gun. M1903 Springfield is a Mauser?

William Magoffin

Try Big Feets for your cryptid fix.

Glenn Wyman

Oddest flat tire that any of my cars have ever had was caused by the metal centre from a spark plug. Amazingly, it was reparable. (PS - I love rambling podcasts; keep up the good work!)

Grant Janzen

Couple comments: 1 - The audio on this "podcast" type production is excellent, except when Othias raises his arm. :) 2 - Never underestimate the power of an autistic special interest. I love the level of detail. But, it does take me about 50% longer to get through an episode due to stopping to research a random points that spark my brain. 3 - I visited Charleston last weekend. Wonderful time at Patriots point. I had BBQ at the Swig and Swine. The Carolina Mustard Sause was great. Sadly, I did not see any Chevy Suburbans while riding in the back of an Uber.

Brian Foster

The podcast Lore from time to time talks about stories with cryptids in them, and usually covers eerie and spooky-ish stories and tales.

Omen Ran

Unexplained Podcast bounces around from paranormal to cryptid to aliens to just plain weird. He's got pretty good production values too. It's hard to search the website though. Season 6 EP 27 is 3 parts on the Mothman. www.unexplainedpodcast.com

Zanbaar

I'm stealing this.

Looking for parts in a junkyard in the summer is like exploring a desert for the relics of a lost temple

Mae the meat mistress

Andrew Smelser

It's not a podcast, but there is a youtube channel named Storied that has a bunch of videos categorized under "Monstrum". These give the history of monster/cryptid tales from across the world.

WeakNinja661

Looking forward to another batch of shirts. If they're like the Cycle of Violence one I'm going to count myself lucky for the price.

John Thomas

DtU is excellent, for the reasons you list. Most of his channels are neat, except for may Brain Blaze, which is just silly.

John Thomas

Christmas Meat Lady… whoever she “meats” is truly blessed.

Chairman

These ones play on the page. Circumventing that is just a minor headache.

chris

A hundred, already :)

What do most cryptic enjoyers think of wendigoon YouTube channel. I know I enjoy it but I am casual in that space

Brock Gouett

Othais is thinking of the Crawling Spleen from Angry Beavers. It was a spleen with an opposable thumb.

Cam W

I hope to one day see Meat Christmas. One day, I’ll know that happiness. Then I’ll die peacefully and turn into a force ghost like a steak-based Obi Wan Kenobi.

Jack Fairbrother

You might give Decoding the Unknown by Simon Whistler a try. It has great production value and writing, and is not some thrown-together garbage. Two possible deal-breakers though: It is presented by a skeptic, so expect that none of them ever end with him agreeing they are real. He often goes off on tangents, which many people find annoying. Personally I like it because that's how I talk, but I understand not everyone is as adhd as me

Downloading the podcast seems to be a random user only issue, for any platform issues contact Patreon's support. We've had a few patrons test the podcast downloads & Patreon app and they are able to run them fine.

A faff I know, I saved the page and just picked out the mp3s

chris

I like Darkness Prevails for horror/cryptid stories. I only listen to his compilation stories, not his podcast though. As far as story telling goes, I like his tempo and inflections. Not shore if his short story telling is what you want though.

Kevin Reichert

Download linky, please? Right click only gives me the option to save the webpage complete, not the podcast mp3s. Doh! I'm doyin heah, I'M DOYIN' HEAH! 😄

Bruce Brodnax

It's aliens, not cryptids, but The Saucer Life sounds like what you are looking for. https://saucerlife.com/ It's well produced, and presented by a history professor who is passionate about the topic.

Will Matzen

I know it’s not a podcast, but the YouTube channel The Jolly Reiver deals with UK folklore and cryptids. Their storytelling is also really captivating. Your mileage may very.

JR Sockwell

The wife's best guess for spooky podcasts is "Stuff They Don't Want You To Know" or maybe "Omnibus", but she makes no promises
