About that comment that 9 Largo is a bit on the big side for ammo in a mag that's in the grip. 9L is 33.5mm long and 9.91mm wide, 7.62 Tokarev is a bit longer at 35.2 and slightly slimmer at 9.83. Enter 45 ACP, the shortest at 32.4 but a bit fat at 12.1mm. I'm getting the impression that the size of the ammo might not be the problem but the Spanish f...ed up grip design?!

This episode really makes me want a Ruby Redo. Maybe even make bloke contribute to the maeversation segment? Doesn't he have like a dozen rubys? So he would have a lot to contribute about talking about the vast variety of them not just the single example you pick to feature.

Rather than calling this episode "German Astras", I think a more descriptive title would be "Astra 300 / Astra 600", as you do wind up discussing both of these pistols and comparing them to each other and to the earlier Astra 400. Admittedly, the Astra 600 was developed at the request of the Nazi German government during World War II; however, it would up being used by a number of different governments after World War II. And the Astra 300 was developed in 1922 and put into production in 1922/23 (Wikipedia.)

The Astras are an interesting way to introduce post-WWI guns. Are we going to see more inter-war arms before WWI is finished?
