A hand written thank-you card goes a long way. I also think maybe a PBS style "this program is brought you by viewers like you" after the primer music would be appropriate. Beyond that a discount code on tee shirts. I wouldn't recommend the show doing with items or coins because that's a bad return on the donors investment. Could always sell items as a fundraiser.

I would put call outs in the same category as ads... if you can have the integrity not to shill garbage and unrelated products, you shouldn't let people pay to take up time in the show just to say their name. I think something like a sponsor-level-only patch could keep things in the tangible but affordable realm - take a few seconds at the beginning of the show to tell viewers to thank anyone they see with one. That way it fulfills the desire for recognition of those that want it and it would come in-person. maybe make a sponsor tier; between $XXX and $XXXX they get something in the mail, between $XXXX and full sponsor percentage there's a list of additional sponsors at the end of the episode. Or go subversive and tell that level of donors that they can enter a lottery to pick a firearm for a future episode, then if an episode is unpopular you just grab a picture of a random friend and thank them for winning.

I really enjoyed your commentary on advice. I’m a mid twenties male and it’s so hard to see so many people in my cohort struggle with the concept of giving advice because you’re invested, not because you’re trying to attack them in some way…

Special thank at the end of the show for big money is good to start doing. Then just plug that if you want a thank go here or there and give X+ amount of the moneys.

On the topic of funding/call outs, a star trek channel I sometimes watch cause of a Drach collab has call outs at the end of his videos for whom I assume are people financially supporting his content. Has like 3-4 tiers, just reads off their names "I want to thank my ..." Seems to rotate monthly. What I don't care for is when channels/creators give, for lack of a better term, partial creative direction over to the crowdfunding. (Not that I think you'd do this)

I will say that vbbsmyt is a cool ass channel even on the animations that are not related to this channel. The early torpedoes are cool.

Call outs should be all that's needed. People love the content and provide the money to keep that going. If they want more than a mention, that's not the kind of person you should be taking large sums of money from. Coins would be great though...
