Very interesting episode, I enjoy these reruns, and the part about japanese trees made for a nice change of pace. One little thing I noticed; at about 33:30 I think you ay have said the Guang-Shu-reign started in 1975.

Bendik Nilsen Bergendal

I miss those...

Christopher Edward

I’m sorry this episode is has a massive mistake which destroys the entire video and it should be taken down right away. It doesn’t have a ‘War were declared’ sequence!

Alan Munro

It is not a 1911, but enjoyed it all the same... perhaps if you just had a 1911 on the wall behind you

Phil Byrd

Mae Responding: We just caught this as well, nice spot.

C&Rsenal

Very nice Monty Python reference!

Harry Mitts

I appreciated the vignette of Drach, visiting from England.

MAJ Richard Turner Ret.

Emperor Meiji was born in 1852, the start of the Meiji era was 1867. If you were trying to quote the man's age, it's 15 years late but was the year he did become emperor

Reo

At 33:30 You mention the year 1975 instead of 1875 but I might just be hearing things

Private Jo-n-es

Maybe it’s just me but at 26:02 the top view of the carbine looks like it has been inverted.

Jon Bachmann

Me, an altruistic patron, sipping his tea and adjusting his monocle: "You're welcome, my good sir." Edit: Please tell me that that is a type 35, you're teasing us with.

Peter A

Mae you may lack the manly gorilla arms, but, you have all the right parts in spades!

H Norman Angell

Starting at about minute 30:40, Full scale production of Type 38, is that not Type 30?

Charles Sears

I just wanted to take a moment to appreciate a tip of the hat to Monty Python with the slides of Japanese softwoods.

Jonathan Causey

Excellent Monty Python reference, I was expecting a larch but not the Spanish inquisition

Spankenheim

Excellent work, couple of errors I’ve noted so far, at 33:30, you say 1975 instead of 1875, and at 33:03, when discussing Empress Xiaoqinxian, you mispronounced Dowager, it’s a soft G—as in gerrymander, not a hard G—as in garrison

Anders Patrick Bradley

A very good update; at 30:56, it sounds like Type 38 was mentioned.

Charles McCormack

Wasn't expecting an update of this episode, but it's welcome none the less.

Alan Munro

Ermagherd, the episode redos I've been most anticipating since the Berdan II episode
