Off topic question, when can we expect the drach podcast? Is it for next Tuesday or a separate special?

If memory serves the flask was hated so much that ordnance came up with a stopgap paper cartridge, not like the later combustible ones but the old bite-tear-dump-stuff kind, that was seen as preferable to the finicky spout.

I don't have the time-stamps, but at a couple points you mentioned some uncertainties of "which Italian manufacturer" went with 1: Colt's source for parts for 2nd series production [Uberti.] 2: The Dragoon w/ the weird latch [It would have to be Armi San Marco (more likely, as I know they made Walker & Dragoon repros) or EuroArms [Frattelli somebody not PIetta; uncertain if they did or not; you could reach out to the Hungarian for more details on them.] But most likely Armi San Marco, I think; they're the only other Italian repro maker (or used to be, they're gone now) that I know for certain made Walker repops & if they did Walkers, they probably did Dragoons too.

I know. still seeing it makes a modern "magnum" looks tiny. but a lar grizz. that's just awesome. other era though. way to go: dragoon and baby dragoon as backup.

Can't wait till 1851. All those variations, US and London.

Why limit yourself? I'm looking forward to as far as they want to take this series! 😁

It's a *horse* pistol. The changes to the Dragoon from the Walker weren't made to reduce the size at all, they were made to address points of failure in the Walker, while still hewing closely to Sam Walker's original requirements.

32:20-ish: Effective full six shots. You said five but again, keep it. Lots of users on YouTube will correct you and The Algorithm will reward this level of engagement.

At 43:58 there seems to be an overlay issue with Talcotts name/dates and his quote.

re the brass grip frame. Was there a redesign to reduce weight? I think brass is heavier than wrought or cast iron.

So this will release right after this weekend's premier auction? Maybe reference that in the post credit update?
